We are a Time Bank serving the nine towns of the North Quabbin. A Time Bank is a free community-based website where people list all kinds of services they are willing to provide and/ or would like to receive. Services include lawn or garden care, grocery shopping, food preparation, home or car maintenance, computer assistance, pet care, companionship for elders, photography, haircuts, language or craft instruction, and much more. People exchange these services without the use of cash. Every time someone does a service for someone in the Time Bank, they earn hours that they can then spend within the Time Bank. Everyone’s hour of service is valued equally. Because of their emphasis on community building, Time Bank exchanges are considered tax-free by the IRS.
