Is the economic downturn impacting your business – or do you want to make sure it doesn’’t? Networking within our local community is often the best way to survive tough times – and thrive afterwards.
That’s why local businesses, entrepreneurs, independent contractors, community leaders, and interested residents in New Salem, Shutesbury, and Wendell have joined together to form the Hilltown Business Club, sponsored by the New Salem General Store and JW DeWitt Business Communications. Our mission: to build community, commerce, and connection among our three hill towns.
Since February 2009, we have been meeting monthly at the home of John & Lisa DeWitt, 16 West Main Street in New Salem (across Route 202 from Whittier Plumbing and Heating). Each meeting provides at 30-45 minutes of one-on-one networking, followed by group introductions, brainstorming of ideas, and discussion about projects and programs in the works. Appetizers along with a plentiful supply of beer, wine, and other beverages are provided.
Our first club-affiliated project is www.hilltownconnect.com, an online community bulletin board and business directory sponsored by JW DeWitt Business Communications and hosted on the WebWorks Server technology platform provided by Montague WebWorks.
All are invited to join the Hilltown Business Club. Please RSVP to John DeWitt at (978) 544-1918 or e-mail john@jwdewitt.com if you’’d like to attend the next meeting.
